What we collect, why we collect it, and how to make us stop.

Who we are
ReviewCost is operated by ReviewCost, Casablanca, Morocco (“we”, “us”). For privacy questions or to exercise any right described below, contact hello@reviewcost.com.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Your email address, if you subscribe to our newsletter. We use it to send the newsletter, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
- Anything you put in an email to us, which we keep only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs. Our web server records the IP address, browser user agent, requested page, referring page, and timestamp of requests. This is standard web server behaviour and is used for security and to diagnose faults.
- Analytics and advertising data, where those services are enabled — see below. This can include pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, and device characteristics.
We do not ask for or knowingly collect payment card details. Purchases happen on the vendor’s own site under the vendor’s own privacy policy, not ours.
Why we are allowed to use it
Where the GDPR applies, our legal bases are: consent for newsletter subscriptions and for non-essential cookies including advertising and analytics; and legitimate interests for keeping the site secure, preventing abuse, and understanding in aggregate how the site is used. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share data with:
- Advertising partners, including Google. Third-party vendors such as Google use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings, and opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info/choices.
- Affiliate networks, when you click an outbound link to a vendor. The network records the click so that any resulting sale is attributed to us. See our affiliate disclosure.
- Infrastructure providers who host the site and deliver our email on our behalf, acting on our instructions.
- Authorities, where we are legally required to.
Some of these providers operate outside your country, so your data may be transferred internationally and protected by the safeguards those providers offer.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies, including for advertising and analytics. Our cookie policy explains each category and how to refuse non-essential cookies.
How long we keep it
Server logs are retained for a short operational period and then deleted or aggregated. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Email correspondence is kept only as long as needed to handle the matter it concerns.
Your rights
If you are in the EU or UK (GDPR)
You have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.
If you are in California (CCPA/CPRA)
You have the right to know what personal information is collected and how it is used and disclosed, the right to delete it, the right to correct it, and the right to opt out of its sale or sharing — which includes sharing for cross-context behavioural advertising. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Children
This site is intended for adults evaluating business and consumer software. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when our practices change — for example when we enable a new analytics or advertising provider. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last reviewed.
